Prof. Dr. Georg Northoff
PhD / MDProf. Dr. Dr. Georg Northoff ist Professor für Neuroethik auf einem eigens für ihn eingerichteten Lehrstuhl ?Mind, Brain Imaging and Neuroethics? an der Universität Ottawa (Kanada). Er ist promovierter und habilitierter Mediziner und Philosoph. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind die funktionelle Bildgebung des Gehirns, psychiatrische Erkrankungen und Neurophilosophie. Aktuelle Buchpublikation: "Das disziplinlose Gehirn - Was nun, Herr Kant?: Auf den Spuren unseres Bewusstseins mit der Neurophilosophie" (Irisiana Verlag 2012).
Darin widmet er sich der hypothetischen Frage, was Kant zu den neuesten Erkenntnissen in der Hirnforschung sagen würde.
